If you’re reading this, it means I finally had the confidence to start my blog and share God’s love! I’m excited to start off with Gods signs because that’s how this all came about! Thank you so much for visiting. If you enjoy what you read, I’d love for you to come back. I plan to post every Sunday at 8 a.m. Central Time, and maybe I’ll surprise you with a post when inspiration strikes.
How This All Started
One evening, I was searching online for something completely unrelated. Somehow, in a way only God could orchestrate, I stumbled across a blog about the Lord and about anxiety and depression. I don’t even remember what I had typed into Google, probably something silly like “how to get white cat hair off black clothes” or “why do I forget why I walked into a room” but I was surprised to see a completely unrelated, unsponsored link, and I felt drawn to it. Something in my spirit felt that call.
As I read, a thought came to me: “I’d love to be able to share God’s message in this meaningful way.” And then it clicked: why not me? Why not here, why not now?
Funny enough, I was learning how to code, and make websites in college at the time. I thought I was doing it for a different reason, but now I see that maybe it wasn’t a coincidence. Maybe it was God preparing me, equipping me with the tools I would need for this very moment. I can almost imagine Him smiling and saying, “See? I had you on this path all along.”
God’s Guidance in Scripture
The Bible reminds us that God is always leading us:
- “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” — Isaiah 30:21
- “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” — Psalm 37:23
- “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6
- “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7
Sometimes, signs aren’t loud or dramatic. They can be gentle nudges. A verse that stands out, a chance encounter, or even a “random” blog you stumble across while searching for something else. Other times, they’re so subtle you don’t realize what God was doing until you look back.
Reading this back, I realize that my experience here probably does not sound like it was some miraculous thing to whoever is reading this. For me it was a feeling of knowing. A clear-sightedness. If you’ve ever had that feeling, you know exactly what i am talking about! But to someone who hasn’t had that feeling yet, man, I don’t even know how to describe it to you! But I just know those were Gods signs.
Point is, even the most subtle of things or coincidences can be a calling from the Lord. The trick is being open to those moments, paying attention, and feeling that nudge.
When Things Don’t Make Sense
God reminds us in Isaiah 55:8, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.” What feels random or confusing to us is never random to Him. His hand is steady, even when we cannot see it.
Acts 17:26 tells us that God has determined our appointed times and the boundaries of where we live. That means you are exactly where you’re meant to be right now. No accidents, no coincidences. He placed you here, in this season, for a reason.
God Speaks Through Others
Sometimes Gods signs come through people. “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” — Proverbs 27:17. Think about the people who have said exactly the right words at the right time. That isn’t luck. That’s the Spirit moving through them to reach you.
Even when we feel lost, God is teaching and guiding us. Jesus said in John 14:26, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” That verse reminds me that we are never truly on our own. The Spirit helps us remember God’s truth and nudges us toward His plan.
Quiet Whisperings
Job even describes how God speaks in dreams and whispers: “In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction.” — Job 33:15–16. God’s communication isn’t limited to daylight hours—He can reach us anytime, anywhere.
Sometimes we expect God to speak in big, dramatic ways, but often He speaks softly. In 1 Kings 19:11–13, Elijah expected to see God in the wind, the earthquake, or the fire, but God was not in any of these. Instead, His voice came in a still small whisper. That gentle voice can be easy to miss if we are distracted, but it is just as powerful.
What This Means for You
Listen for the signs, even if you don’t fully understand them. That verse that keeps coming back to mind, that person who shows up at the right moment, the door that suddenly opens—or closes—these are often God’s ways of guiding you.
You may not always know where it’s leading, and it may not always make sense. But God is always working behind the scenes. His timing is perfect, His plan is good, and His hand is steady. As long as we live in His glory, worshipping Him and seeking His will, He will make sure we end up exactly where we need to be.
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” — Romans 8:28
My Calling
I believe God called me to this. Who am I to deny His calling? So here I am, sharing His love and encouragement with anyone who needs it.
Thank you for joining me at the start of this journey. I hope this blog can be a place of light, comfort, and even a smile or two. God is faithful, and He shows up in ways both big and small. Sometimes all it takes is paying attention.
Until next time,
Courtney
